Camping Aichelberg is located in a region which is steeped in history and has much going for. From the campsite, it is only
- 2 km to Weilheim an der Teck, the town of the Zähringers with its remarkably beautiful timber-framed buildings around the market place, its historical town hall and the well-known Peterskirche where amazing mural paintings wait to be marvelled at.
- 3 km to the Urwelt-Museum Hauff in Holzmaden with exhibitions concerning the primeval world.
- 5 km to the Badhaus Bad Boll, a spa that offers hot mineral springs and an extensive sauna world.
- 10 km to Kirchheim unter Teck, a historic market town at the foot of the Teck Castle. Many of the picturesque timber-framed buildings house Swabian beer gardens, excellent restaurants and cafés as well as cosy guesthouses.
- 10 km to Göppingen, the town of the Hohenstaufers. One of its best-known sights is the famous Märklin-Museum.
- 12 km to some magnificent cross-country ski-tracks and ski-lifts.
